36th Anniversary Sonora Christmas Festival 2010

Yahoo! 36 Years of great Christmas Festival magic - "Grand~daddy" of the
Mother Lode Arts Festivals! " Folks of all ages come to Sonora every year
to celebrate our "olde fashioned" Fire On The Mountain~Sonora Christmas Festival. At 10 am, visitors will be greeted by Santa, the Elves, Trees, and Carolers at the front gates of our Christmas Village ~ then follow these merrymakers through the artisans' lanes & yummy Festival Food Vendors, accompanied by tunes of the varied musicians on the Festival Stages, also, to be delighted by the antics of our comic jugglers and Magicians. . . . SCF continues to be one of California's finest arts festivals . All the preparations are under way for this crisp, clear Thanksgiving Weekend event.

November 26-28 at Sonora's Mother Lode Fairgrounds, downtown Sonora,
Santa's special pre-Christmas stopover in the foothills of the Mother Lode. The 27th Winter Wonderland Christmas Parade, in historic downtown Sonora, will be ready to roll at 5:30pm Friday.

Eat, Shop and Be Merry As Christmas is Near!!!!
150 craft & graphic artist will be featured at this "top rated on the West Coast" festival - a definite Christmas shopping tradition for thousands of thoughtful shoppers since 1975. Weavers, metal smiths, Christmas ornaments and stockings, blown and etched glass, fabricated gold and silver jewelry,watercolors, photography, clothing, soaps, lotions and oils, leather hats ~ all the best!!!

The "cottage" gourmet food specialties industry (olive oils, candies,
salsas, nuts, olives) has been a very popular addition to our shows. Don't
miss, Lil' Nippers of Ripon, Kelly's Cookies of Groveland, The Dog Biscuit Stockings are back this year!!!


Visits and photos with Santa all 3 days. Santa area this year! Have your
face painted in seasonal designs.

Wonderful Meals and Desserts served from the Festival Kitchens,
Drinks of the season.BBQ Tri-tip, pulled pork, sausages; tacos, burritos, tostadas,quesadillas,nachos; Oriental Classics serving BBQ sticks, shrimp tempura, fried rice, chow mien, egg roll, fried veggies pad thai; Spiro's Gyros, falafel, hummus, Greek salad; Breakfast served each morning; Here's the Scoop dishes out ice cream, frozen bananas, pies, turnovers; Columbia Diggins Kettle Corn,sarsaparilla, wild cherry soda; Finer Grind Espresso Cafe. Beers, wines, and mixed seasonal drinks at the Beer Garden next to Craft hall #1. Lots more!

FESTIVAL DATES & TIMES & LOCATIONS
The 36th Anniversary of the Sonora Christmas Festival 2010 will begin on
Friday, Nov 26 from 10 am to 5 pm; Saturday Nov 27 from 10am to 5 pm, and
Sunday, Nov 28 from 10am to 4pm.
Location is the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, downtown Sonora, Hwy 49 exit off
the bypass. (220 Southgate Dr, Sonora CA 95370.
Admission to the festival is $7.00 Adults, $5.00 Seniors, Kids 12 years &
under FREE with Adult Adm.

Parking in the fairgrounds is $2.00 per vehicle.

A Special, Extra $2.00 Discount will be given for a canned food donation
(still edible & in good condition) to the Christmas Can Tree ON SUNDAY
ONLY. (So, adult festival goers can receive $3.00 off admission if they bring a discount flyer and a canned food donation Sunday!)

Adult Admission Discount Cards are available in many downtown stores,
county wide motels & restaurants. Thank you so much for all your help!!

Don't forget the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Sonora Fri. eve, Nov
26, from 5:30 pm. Get there a little early for this very popular parade!
