This is what happened in 2009. Check back soon for 2010 updates.

Celtic Music:
Every year, the Sonora Celtic Faire brings some of the biggest names in Celtic music to the Mother Lode. Need Fire, Brother, and Banshee in the Kitchen will be heading up the main stage. Perennial favorites Tempest, Wicked Tinkers, Golden Bough, Nine 8ths Irish, and The Black Irish Band return to the faire, Need Fire, Michael Lucry Group.
Stage Acts and Street Performers

That's Trey Cromwell (the Professional Showoff!)eating fire on the left. There's plenty of food at the faire, but I guess eating haggis just isn't the crowd pleaser that a flaming torch is and when you're a showoff... well... Plus there's mystifying magicians, jumping jugglers, beautiful belly dancers, and more alluring alliterations than you can shake a stick at! Yep! How can you go wrong with all this? Check out the full lineup of stage acts and street performers.

Jousting ~ The Knights of Avalon
Spectacular hard hitting action, stunts, falls, sword fights, and galloping horses. A warm up, introductions, fanfares, skill at arms competitions, and professional commentary and music throughout the show. Jousting

Modern Clans
Meet representatives from a number of modern clans and learn about your own family history. Check out the modern clans page.

Whiskey Tasting
The Great Whiskey Tasting Competition is back in its 5th year. Taste 10 types of whiskey and vote on your favorites - votes are tallied to settle once and for all (hah!), the best tasting whiskey in the world! Check out The Great Whiskey Tasting Competition page. The idea started at this faire!!

Bagpipe Bands
What's a Celtic Faire without bagpipes? The Fresno Stag and Thistle Pipe Band joins us once again. The Callanish Pipe Band under Pipe Major John Mitchell. Check out our bagpipe bands.
